EXPLORATION
The South African International Maritime Institute (SAIMI) has embarked on an exciting journey to promote, support and create awareness amongst South Africans about the oceans economy, under the banner “DIVE IN! MARITIME CAREER EXPLORATION”. This initiative is a product of the broader Maritime Awareness Programme initiated by SAIMI and key stakeholders to encourage South Africa’s youth to not only dip their feet into the endless possibilities of career exploration in the maritime industry, but to “dive in” by getting immersed into a future career in the oceans economy.
We showcase a wide variety of study and career opportunities in and around the oceans, introducing the diverse maritime career options such as ship builders, oil rig engineers, maritime lawyers and conservationists, etc.
